You will receive a letter of confirmation and additional workshop information upon receipt of the fee. The fee is refundable to teachers from Economics Arkansas partner school systems upon successful completion of the workshop. Increase student engagement by incorporating real-life economics into your math, science, literacy and social studies classes. Award-winning educators will demonstrate interactive, classroom-tested lessons and activities that successfully integrate economics into core subject areas as well as share creative ways to assess student learning. A specific subject (science, math, language arts, social studies, including Arkansas History) will be emphasized each day. Economic concepts will be presented by an engaging and enthusiastic economist who will expand your economic knowledge. Grade-level small group sessions will energize you with strategies, ideas, lessons, and materials to help you employ differentiated instruction within your classroom. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to explore ways to engage students in critical thinking and problem solving with economics at the core! This workshop may be completed as a 3-hour graduate course from Henderson State University. Additional requirements may include follow-up sessions and submission of outside assignments. Admission to the graduate school is required; tuition is paid by the participant.
