Teachers certainly know that time is a scarce resource. If teaching toward multiple state frameworks at the same time sounds good to you, then you’ll love this workshop!

K-5 Math and Economics Connections is designed to give teachers the tools necessary to teach math and economic concepts at the same time. Participants will receive either K thru 2 Can Do! Math and Economics or Mathematics and Economics: Connections for Life 3-5. Each guide is correlated to national and state frameworks in Mathematics and Economics. Lessons are standards-based and provide opportunities for learning through hands-on, student-friendly activities. As a bonus, participants will also receive a Focus Grades K-2 Economics or Focus Grades 3-5 Economics guide that introduces basic economic concepts in age-appropriate, interactive lessons.

So…sign up today! Be an effective manager of your scarce time by integrating economics into your curriculum.

Participants receive:
• Two curriculum guides
• $25 stipend
• dinner, refreshments and door prizes
• 3.5 hours staff development credit

It’s time to network with other teachers, learn more about basic economic concepts and participate in fun, educational activities that will help you raise those math scores!

APPROPRIATE FOR KINDERGARTEN THROUGH FIFTH GRADE TEACHERS.

This workshop is sponsored by Economics Arkansas in partnership with the Center for Economic Education, University of Arkansas Monticello, Dr. Marsha Clayton, Director.

The program is made possible by the National Council on Economic Education through funding from the United States Department of Education Office of Innovation and Improvement.
